Hey!

Been having an urge to post all day long...not that I had anything at all in mind to post, but I miss writing about stuff that I thought was relevant, exciting, cool, whatever. Now my posts consist of a lot of pictures, and every few weeks, an update on how the garage is coming, or how much my computer frustrates me.

And as far as that goes, the garage is coming along great :) How does the song go..."I get by with a little help from my friends, I get high with a little help from my friends"? Well, saturday a bunch of us got high on the roof and got the garage sheeted and shingled. A big thanks to Dad, Rudi, Bruce, Heinrich, and Dustin. And a big thanks to God for holding back the rain...it looked like it was ready to come down at any moment, but it never did.

Bought the new Bleach cd/dvd today aptly named "AUDIO/VISUAL". The cd contains 15 greatest hits, plus 3 previously unreleased tracks. The dvd has concert footage from their final concert, and pictures, and other stuff. Haven't watched the dvd yet, but the cd is great. Love the new song "Good To Be Alive". So much in fact, I'll post the lyrics here.

"Good To Be Alive"
- Bleach -
My heart is frozen, or can I move
Are we all stuck here, or can we choose
your hope
Come on let it rise, the sun in winter skies
Melt away the cold, and bring new life
I really want to glow I really want to know
Exactly how it feels to be alive
Oh it comes as a surprise
Worries left and hope's arrived
I can't believe we've survived
But oh it's good to be alive
You have found me, so I'll hold on to you my love
You surround me, your warmth becomes
My hope
This could be our only chance to figure ourselves out
It will glow and these old bones will know what it's about
So tomorrow is Nov 1. That would make it exactly 10 months that we've been "together". What a ride it's been. Good to be alive indeed. It's not that I had low expectations of married life, but it's been so much better than I could have imagined!
Well, my brain appears to have fallen asleep before my body today - I just stared at the monitor for five minutes without knowing what to type. Liane is sitting beside me going through a bunch of stuff for a wedding scrap book...there's the engagement announcement from the paper, a copy of the invitations, bulletins, and thank-you cards, a bunch of stuff from our honeymoon...maps, tickets to the musical we saw, mile-long to-do lists, and the box from her engagement ring. But I think she's ready to go to sleep. It's been a long day...I got up early to work on some more wedding pictures before she woke up, and after that, the day was a flurry of activity. Liane was washing windows, washing dishes, making Veraniki, and trying to clean up a crowded house. I worked on some pictures of Rowan for Keith and Stacey, built some a landing and stairs for the back door (I am definitely no carpenter...took me 2 or 3 hours to build them!), and put some new wiper blades on the car. We crossed a few things off of the to-do list, but added many more. Anyone out there got some good advice on how to get on top of it all??
Anywhooos, sleep is at the top of the list right now.
Ta ta,
Warren

Don't worry, you'll never get on top of it all. There's always something else.

To busy to post. I think that means you have a life/wife now. Do stop to smell the roses. I miss your regular posts; keep on blogging.

simplify, simplify, simplify! Those are my words of encouragement for the day!
