It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...

but I don't, so I won't! Nope, I had a wonderful birthday! At work I got to wear a dorky birthday pin on my shirt that had a flashing led, so everyone wished me a happy birhtyday...they were all so sincere! My mom, dad, and heather made the bestest kielke supper ever, and the whole thiessen family was there to celebrate. I think the most special part of the day was when my 3 year old niece from Germany, Kathleen, and Noah and Leah called and sang "happy birthday" to me. I was at work when Kathleen called, but Liane recorded it on a tape, and it was super.

I just looked beside me to discover Liane devouring my birthday pistachios...and she didn't even ask me! Liane said "we're one, therefore your birthday gift is mine".
Dang...she's got me there.

So the last four or five days have been crazy busy, but a wonderful celebration of Christ's birth. Lot's of time spent with family...definitely makes a person feel pretty blessed to have a family as wonderful as ours.

On sunday night Liane and I had a sleepover at our house with a few of our nephews and niece, David, Joshua, Noah, and Lea. We made a big tent to sleep in in the living room. Joel also came over the next morning. We had sooo much fun! Liane and I definitely need to get a few toys though. The kids were all so good. I think parents should qualify as superheroes.

Ok...bedtime. Liane bought me the Chronicles of Narnia box set for my birthday/christmas, and we've been reading a couple of chapters each night. They've definitely kids books, but they're so good! So ta ta for now!!
