Funny story.
So Liane and I went to Winnipeg today. She had a doctors appointment, and we did a little shopping. It was snowing and blowing like crazy. On the way home, at times visibility was so bad you could only see 3 hydro poles in front of you. Anywhoos, the car was filthy with salt and dirt and snow, so when we got back to Winkler we went straight to the car wash. Since I hadn't planned this beforehand, I didn'thave a towel along to dry the inside of the doors. No worries I thought, it's warm in our garage. Well, we went to mom & dad T's tonight for an hour or so, and it's now -16C outside. I started the car a few minutes before we were going to leave their place (thanks for the remote starter Harry & Erika!). Went around to open the door for Liane when...oh shoot...the door wouldn't open. Sounded frozen. Gave it a little hip check. No good. Tried the door on my side. No good. Now I'm kicking, punching, body checking the door, but to no avail. Suddenly, a brain wave! I reached in my pocket, grabbed the keys and hit the door unlock button on the remote. Reached for the handle again...BINGO! Oh man, I am such a dork :)
Stace and the Rowster came over for supper today. Stace wanted some 6 month pics of the little gaffer. Got a whole bunch of good ones. Here's one, and maybe I'll post a few more in the days ahead (gotta have something in reserve if I've got nothing else to post :)
