HAPPY FEBRUARY 1ST!!!

Congratulations to us! We made it through another Manitoba January! I think God must be smiling on us, because that was, without a doubt, the warmest January (and December for that matter) that I can remember. Hey, if this is actually connected somehow to global warming or climate change or whatever phrases tree-huggers and dooms-day scientists are using now...bring it on! Mind you, I could stand to see a little more snow, but let us not forget it is only Feb 1...two months of winter to go! Speaking of which, tomorrow is Ground Hogs Day. Does anyone actually know what it means if it sees it's shadow or not? I always forget.
Whatever, IT'S SUNNY TODAY! Here's what I'm listenening to on a sunshiny day :)

"and everything it changed overnight
this dying world, You brought it back to life
and deep inside I felt things shifting
everything was melting away
and You gave us the most beautiful of days
'cause when it's always winter, but never Christmas
sometimes it feels like You are not with us
but deep inside our hearts we know
that You are here and we will not lose hope"
- In Like A Lion (Always Winter) - Relient K

"Hey! Hey! It was so great
to see you
the winter months taking their toll
I can't, I can't relay
how much Your perfect words
melted this cold
We're not alone"
- "December" - Bleach

"so come on let it rise
sun in winter skies
melt away the cold
and bring new life
i really want to glow
i really want to know
exactly how it feels
to feel
i've heard it comes as a surprise
Worry's left and Hope's arrived
i can't believe we've survived
and oh it's good to be alive"
- "Good To Be Alive" - Bleach

"but february made me shiver
with every paper i'd deliver
bad new on the doorstep
i couldn't take one more step
and I can't remember if I cried
when i read about his widowed bride
something touched me deep inside
the day
the music died"
"American Pie" - Don McLain

spring comes 6 weeks early if the shadow isn't seen.
