Studio Fun

Went to Heinrich's place on tuesday night while Liane was at Ellie's bridal shower. Got to play around in his studio for a while, get a taste of what it's like being a portrait photographer. I know absolutely nothing about studio photography, but it was a lot of fun, and hopefully I learned a few things. To see how a professional does it, check out some of the pics on his blog. I think playing with Kian was probably more fun than taking the pictures :) He's definitely got the attention span of a one-year-old, but he was actually really good...and it's almost impossible to take a non-cute picture of him :)

Well, it's less than two weeks until Ellie & Willy's wedding. While they're busy getting excited, I'm busy getting prepared. They've asked Heinrich and I to do the photography for their wedding. This will be the first wedding where I'm actually "supposed" to be taking pictures. I'm pretty nervous about the whole deal...not because I'm worried about taking pictures, but because the whole wedding/ceremony is, I believe, all in German, and in typical German fashion, a good deal different than a "typical Canadian wedding" (if there is such a thing!). Should be good times though.

Speaking of weddings, it's also just over a month until Heath & Bruce tie the knot. Come to think of it, this is probably the first time I've posted about that. Should be a real party though. Liane is one of Heath's bridesmaids, and I'm one of the groomsmen.

And speaking of marriage, Liane and I have been married for six and a half whopping months already! Woah man! Someone should have told us how good married life was a long time ago!

Anywhoos, here are a couple of pics I took of Kian on tuesday:

I was searching for blogs for people in the Winkler area and came across yours - I must say, you take amazing pictures and you will do an awesome job at the wedding coming up. Hope I didn't freak you out with posting a comment on your blog.
