Truly a day for ice cream!

had the day off today, and boy, what a day to have off!! Got a bunch of stuff done, and had way too much fun. Went mountain biking for the first time this year (and yes, I'm ashamed to admit it, but hey, we're busy people :) Keith had to work the evening shift, so we went to the lake trails. Whoa man, was it ever fun! I had nearly forgotten how much I loved to ride!

Then Liane and I took Joshua and Noah to Warky's for ice cream. They both had birthdays recently, and we had given them each a gift certificate saying we would take them out for ice cream. So today we made good on it, and it was a blast. The boys both had more ice cream on their faces than in their mouths, and neither could finish eating theirs (a Warky's small cone is pretty far from small!). After the ice cream, the boys started collecting acorns, and somehow it turned into a massive acorn throwing war! Talk about good times :)

After that, we went to Mom & Dad's for supper. Mom made the Olive Garden's Fettucini Alfredo with Parmesan Chicken and breadsticks, and yippee, was that ever good.

Challenged Dad to a game of tennis in order to work off a bit of the supper. And this too, was a lot of fun.

I will sleep well tonight :)

...and we all know that Warky's has the BEST icecream, Mmmmm. So sad that they'll be closed after this long weekend. What will we do?
